THE EPITOME OF THE BEAUTIFUL GAME:THE MISHAPS OF ARSENE WENGER!

Fabregas with the ball, passes long to Jovetic on the wing....Jovetic crosses on to Rooney who chests the ball and lays it off to Higuain....GONZALO HIGUAIN SMASHES THE BALL INTO THE TOP CORNER AND ITS A........ITS A.........!!!!

dream which every die hard gooner has been dreaming of ever since the commencement of the ‘annual summer transfer rumour and speculation’ at the end of every season.
In reality, the above mentioned formidable names of modern day football, appear to be a decent purchase for any football manager and if gelled well, they would make a trophy-winning quartet. However, the purchase would really cost a fortune and utter frustration of the highest epithet to a club owner if they do return empty handed at the end of the season
Back to Arsenal, and from a business perspective, you have to admire Arsenal’s approach. They are well run, they do not pay sky-rocketing salaries to players and are evidently not prepared to risk their monetary well-being,by trying to compete with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City in the transfer market.
Nevertheless, the Emirates faithful have been accustomed from the past to winning the Premier League titles, FA Cups and playing in the latter stages of the Champions League, seem to have now lost patience with the lack of success and the recent trend departures of their best players.
What Arsenal really need to do if they ever want to return to their glory days is to draw a line under their prudent philosophy and start spending money on better players.Simply put, Arsene Wenger needs to change his Transfer Policy.
In my point of view, Arsene Wenger needs to buy top class players, players, whether young or experienced, players who are loyal to the club and are motivated to win silverware, by the crest on the shirt each time they set foot on the pitch.
With a net worth of €323 million, honestly there is no reason as to why Arsene Wenger would not persuade the club owners, Stan Kroenke and Ivan Gazidis not to be wary of the financial crunch but to break the club’s coffers and splash money in the transfer market and invest in world class players, not just promising players as every player is promising mind you.
At the same time, the now longest serving manager in the Barclays Premier League should hold on to most of his current stars i.e Walcott, who are integral for the next season and do away with the reputation of selling his stars to rival clubs.
Finally, with a sound transfer policy in hand, le proffesseur, needs to refute the notion that it is better to earn a 4th place in the league and qualify for Europe than to win a domestic cup, however less prestige it may be, FA Cup or Capital One Cup.
Be that as it may, it would really beat logic as to why Arsene Wenger would fail to rebuild and reawaken the sleeping giant and atleast reclaim the crown of kings of London, if not reach the heights of The Invincibles class of 2004.
The fans are aching to see the dust wiped from the once trophy laden cabinet at The Arsenal. The pain has even increased two fold in the last half a decade as Arsenal have really fallen down the pecking order as to who calls the shots in London, with the heroics of Chelsea and the recent upsurge of their fierce North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs.
