THIAGO ALCANTARA, REMEMBER THE NAME!

Some people call him the next Xavi, others the next Iniesta while the regulars of the Stretford end like to call him the next Paul Scholes. To me, Alcantara is not the new Xavi but it is Xavi who is the old Alcantara. You might want to argue but wait, where was Xavi when he was 22? La Masia? At 22, Alcantara is already a graduate and was dimmed too talented for the U21 EURO tourney. I mean, how may players out there, while captaining their sides have scored a perfect hat trick. With a perfect hat trick I mean, with a left foot, right foot and header? All this by the 38th minute…You have to give Thiago a bow. He himself was the key in the game, Along with the likes of Asier Illarramendi, Isco and his teammates were arguably the stand-out performers for La Roja on their road to glory and his final performance will have offered compelling evidence for clubs to press ahead with plans to lure the Barcelona player.
A player who is elegant and composed player on the ball, Thiago Alcantara has the passing ability, consistency and composure to maintain possession for his team even under pressure. His  killer ball to unlock the defense remind of architect Gaucho. Never afraid to ask for the ball in small packets of spaces, he can take on a man or even break forward from deep at pace.
Focusing on his main attributes, Thiago is arguably one of the best passers if not the best in Europe. He has a wide vision and normally likes to dictate the tempo of a game from anywhere on the pitch just like Verrati. His understanding and awareness is a class above almost all of the other players in his age-bracket.
He is that midfielder who always looks over his shoulders when receiving the ball just like Architect Gaucho, and searches for open teammates or even space and is always thinking about his next pass or move. Moreover, Alcantara’s first touch is exemplary which enables him to get away from his marker.
His ball control and ball handling skills are equally is impressive. He gets dispossessed by an opponent only 1.3 times per game, and what impresses me the most is that even against physically stronger players, he maintains his control.
Most opposing teams normally try to outnumber Thiago as he directly runs at them. As cool as he is, he always remains calm and plays a quick pass to continue the flow of the attack.
Thiago’s technique, ball control and vision are so developed in such a way that a considerable chunk of his passes are just one-touch fine quick passes.
He also has goals in his game as he showed with his hat trick thus is an important asset for both club and country which is an obvious appeal to potential suitors out there.
His rumored release clause as at now is around 18 million pounds. Each and every Manchester united fan is excited about the prospect of his arrival. Whether in Manchester or Barcelona, I can’t wait to see Thiago grace the pitch and show us his touch of magic.
